Emily McEwan is the founder, editor, and publisher at Bradan Press in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She has been involved with Scottish Gaelic language and culture for over 30 years, first in Scotland and later in Nova Scotia. Emily is a former professor who originally trained as an anthropologist specializing in minority language revitalization. As well as being a publisher, she is the author of The Scottish Gaelic Tattoo Handbook (2016) and Gaelic Language Revitalization Concepts and Challenges: Collected Essays (2020).
